Surplus Parts Notice
Firearm Shopper LLC sells used gun parts without making a prior determination to the amount of use, wear, breakage, or alteration that may be exhibited in surplus (new or used) parts. All surplus parts are sold AS-IS with NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS. Variations within used parts are dependent upon the original manufacturer(s) for the weapons contract, the country of origin, the year(s) of manufacture, storage conditions, etc. Not all firearm parts are interchangeable. Use of surplus parts without proper knowledge could cause a firearm to malfunction and cause property damage, injury, or death. Parts must be inspected and tested by qualified, competent, and professional gunsmiths or armorers before use in a firearm.
Product Descriptions
In an attempt to be as accurate as possible, we display multiple images and write detailed descriptions of the products we sell to provide the customer with as much information as possible. However, due to the collectible and unique nature of many of our items, there can be differences between items photographed and what you may receive in your order. Many parts have details that are specific to model/year/manufacturer. These differences are generally minor and can include: markings, dates, size, color, overall condition and more. If you have any questions about the parts you have received, please contact us at firearmshopper.com or firearmshopper@gmail.com. We will be happy to talk you through differences, explain details, and answer any questions about products on our website.
Industry Grading Definitions
Prior to ordering any item, carefully read the product description and detail listed on our website. Many of the used parts featured on our website were taken from battlefield weapons.
The grading definitions used below were established by the firearms industry to provide a standard for the comparison of vintage gun parts. Factors considered with our visual assessment to grade parts include: general overall appearance, mechanical and functional conditions of the parts, and the original era of firearm manufacture, (i.e. age of weapon).
1.) NEW: Parts are of recent manufacture and never installed on a firearm.
2.) NOS (New Old Stock): Parts are of original manufacture, never installed on a firearm, and may be in original packaging. Due to long term storage conditions, parts may be dirty, greasy or have light surface rust in places.
3.) EXCELLENT: Parts may have been installed on a firearm with no or light use, and may show no or minor signs of wear.
4.) VERY GOOD: Parts were installed on a firearm and were well maintained. Parts will show minor wear without loss of quality or function.
5.) GOOD: Parts were installed on a firearm and are functional. Parts will show finish wear on working surfaces and may have minor corrosion. Metal could have small dents and scratches. Wood may have dents, scratches, gouges or light cracks.
6.) FAIR: Parts were installed on a firearm and are in working condition. Finish will be worn from sustained use with noticeable wear on working surfaces. Metal may have surface corrosion and dents. Wood may have dents, scratches, and gouges with minor open cracks. These parts are ready for use, but, will require some time/effort to look their best.
7.) POOR: Parts were installed on a firearm and will need adjustments or repairs. Finish will be well-worn or nonexistent. Metal is pitted and/or rusty. Wood will have large dents, deep scratches or gouges and could have large open cracks. Canvas and leather items will have tears, heavy stains, mildew and may be missing straps & fasteners.
8.) AS-IS: Parts cannot be returned for any reason
